Swanley District Scouts

Non-Member Insurances

Parents, supporters, Instructors and retired members are NOT covered under the standard Scout Insurance provided by Unity.
If non-member helpers are injured in an accident themselves, they will not be covered under the Scouts Personal Accident and Medical Expenses Scheme (as with any member of the public involved in a Scouting activity).

  • Unity recommends that Scout groups consider additional cover for helpers.
  • This can cover non-members associated with your group, such as helpers, supporters, instructors, and retired members.
  • This is the same policy which Scout members are eligible for, there is no benefit differences for members and non-members. The current cost is £52 per annum for up to 25 individuals who help out.

You need to contact Unity on 03450407703 if you want to add this extra cover.
