Swanley District Scouts

Explorer Scouts

Explorer make up the fifth Section of the Scouting family.

As an Explorer Scout, you will get the chance to meet with other Explorer Scouts in your District, not just your Unit. By doing this, you will get the chance to do many more activities, not just the ones your Unit organises. You will also be able to join in activities that are run by County.

Explorer Scouts work towards the highest awards available in scouting the Platinum, Diamond and Kings Scout. After completing the highest King Scout award they are invited to Windsor Castle to celebrate St Georges day along with other King Scout achievers in the UK. This is a very special event and only King Scouts are invited.

You may decide that you want to volunteer as a Young Leader and support younger members of the Movement. This is a great opportunity to gain extra skills that can be used as you become an adult.

Swanley Explorers get the opportunity to do international trips as well as more local camping trips.
