Darenth Lions donate £250 to Milestone Cubs

Leaders from Ash Green (Milestone) Cub Pack were invited to a presentation evening in October run by Darenth Valley Lions, during which they were given a donation of £250 for the benefit of their Cub Pack. 

The chairman, Barbara Bradley, is also Group Scout Leader of Horton Kirby Scout Group.

Milestone Academy at New Ash Green is solely for children with special needs up to the age of nineteen. The Cub Pack is a closed Pack and meets during school time on a Friday afternoon in term time.

Together with these four leaders and about a dozen carers we are able to give the Cubs fun interesting programmes that sometimes have to be modified for them. 

The leaders were so grateful for this generous gift that will enable them to buy some very basic and much needed items for the young people to enhance their Scouting� and perhaps even go towards their Christmas party this year.

The leader on the left of the photo has since given birth to a beautiful baby girl named Phoebe. Both Mum and baby are doing very well.
