Horton Kirby Beavers win Kent Invicta Challenge - 13-07-2010
Eleven young Beaver Scouts from Horton Kirby received the Kent Invicta Challenge Award, the highest award that a Beaver can be given in Kent.
The badges were presented at Farningham Woods campsite by Kathy Smith who, as Assistant County Commissioner, is in overall charge of all Beavers in the county.
The children – all between the ages of six and eight - have participated in many local and national events as raising money for the RSPCA and helping to clear a local Churchyard.
Two of the Beavers - Joshua Walton and Calder Grant - are also celebrating achieving every badge that a Beaver can receive – an impressive total of 28 that includes swimming, hiking, art and environmental activity badges.
The other successful Beavers are Joshua Sibthorpe, Joshua Younger, Lily Martin, Henry Rodgers, Alex Stead, Jalen Pople, Thomas Wilkinson, Ethan Walsh and Archie Chenery.
