The 2nd Annual Farningham Woods Walk 3 April 2011 - latest information...
Please register you team by clicking here so that we have an idea of how many walkers to expect on the day...
- Registration from 10.00 at Anthony Roper. Parking available and registration to take place upon arrival.
- All sponsorship Cards will be required for validation at the start of the walk.
- Maps will be issued to all groups along with a route card, showing 2,5 & 10 mile routes and marshall points.
- The routes make good use of the Darent Valley Walk and Lullingstone Country Park and only include 2 hills.
- The 10 mile route takes approximately four hours at an average pace and allowing for a couple of stops.
Can you please ensure that all walkers in your group/party have appropriate clothing for the weather and have sun tan cream?
All groups will be required to have a minimum of two hi-vis vests, these will be made available for groups who are unable to provide their own.
All Scouting sections walking as a group will need to have arranged a home contact and we would prefer all groups to carry a charged mobile phone.
Don't forget that as this is a Scouting activity this hike will count towards you Hikes Away staged activity badge!
We are closing registration at 3pm and the walk will finish at 5pm ( the school gates will be locked from 5.30pm ) so we will need to vacate all cars.
